On the last day of Hanukka, we were thrilled to host our first LIGHT conference. The goal of the conference is to encourage and inspire girls and boys to get interested and involved in all fields of STEM and to show how women can be leaders in these fields.
We were honored to host more than sixty people in our school for a day filled with the empowerment of women!
At the conference, we listened to fascinating lectures on topics ranging from computational physics to medical ethics, and ended with an inspiring panel where we discussed the changes we need to make in ourselves to move forward on the issue of women in the fields of STEM.
We would like to thank the talented and inspiring lecturers and panelists- Dr. Aviva Melchior, Dr. Joan Adler, Prof. Ron Blonder, Mrs. Nelly Kampf, Prof. Daniella Goldfarb, Dr. Tal Man- Ben Yehuda, Dr. Adi Stern and our own team alumni – Sapir Lazerovitch.
We hope everyone who attended was inspired by the influence that women in STEM studies have on today’s science and technology.
See you next year.
