The LIGHT Conference for Women Empowerment in Science and Technology is meant to make a change!

The conference was founded five years ago by a team member, who wished to inspire teenage girls (and boys) to actively participate in the fields of STEM and to show them through their own personal achievements that it can be done.

This year we held LIGHT in person and more than 100 people came to listen to female business leaders, scientists, and influencers in STEM such as Kira Radinsky, a head computer scientist in eBay Israel.

During the event we have a “Poster Session”, where Spikers hold small lectures about lesser known female scientists. We invited CyberGirlz, ATprogram & SheCodes to encourage girls to pursue careers in computer science.

The Spikes are happy to have the chance to spread the importance of STEM among women and to make a change! We aspire to inspire!!
