FUTURE
This year we started "FUTURE" - FIRST Unlocking Technology, Understanding Robotics, and Experimentation - a science fair for children that gives them a space to engage with STEM. The fair features robot driving, building challenges, FLL experiences, and a chemistry experiment station, all free of charge, with over 150 participants attending on average.

Journey to the science star
This year, we launched "Journey to the Science Star," a free weekly science club designed to let as many children as possible explore science through interactive experiments and show them they can achieve their dreams. We started with 7 children, and now nearly 20 are participating.

Science for all
This year, we started "Science for all" collaborating with a special education class at the neighboring Sapir School. During the activity, we gave the students an in-depth explanation of acid-base reactions through an experiment, followed by hands-on robot driving. Additionally, we ran two more activities for them during their summer camp, providing a fun and educational experience.

Robotics club
Each year, our school dedicates two periods to extracurriculars, and three years ago we added a ninth-grade robotics club. Led by team members, the class introduces students to FIRST and robotics through mechanics, programming, teamwork, and LEGO robots

Elders
For the past four years, we’ve run workshops for a retirees’ group in Lod during club hours - teaching electronics, how to connect and build a board, and introducing them to the world of FIRST to inspire and expand their knowledge.

Àthena
In 2022 we created Athena, a fun program that makes Java coding accessible to kids. With our guidance, over 650 children from Lod used it to write commands, drive our robot, and overcome obstacles.

Open days
We participate in our school’s open days, where we introduce the team and FIRST to prospective students by showcasing our robot and explaining our community.

Light
The LIGHT Conference for Women Empowerment in Science and Technology aims to make a change! Founded seven years ago by a team member, it inspires teens to actively participate in STEM by showcasing personal achievements. During the event, Spikers lead a “Poster Session” with short lectures about lesser-known female scientists.

TwiLight
Three years ago, we launched TwiLight – interactive technology workshops held a few hours before LIGHT for young girls. In these workshops, the girls gain scientific knowledge through hands-on experience in mechanics, electronics, and programming.

FLAG
We’ve been FLAG ambassadors since 2016, producing over 30 YouTube videos, 2 TikToks, and 3 blogs - watch them here!

Helping
We visited Cfar Olga shortly after the war began, running hands-on science and fun activities for evacuee children to spark their curiosity in STEM. Later, after the start of the war with Iran, together with DBUG, we led a STEM activity at a Tel Aviv hotel for over 120 evacuees, enriching their science experience.

AKIM
We work with AKIM because we believe everyone deserves a chance to dream and achieve. AKIM is an organization for people with intellectual disabilities, and we are running 15 sessions where we lead various STEM activities.

Learning center
The Learning Center began as a small community project supporting elementary students with homework, studying, and enrichment, and has since grown ten-fold after moving to our school - expanding to include students, teachers, and even games and activities for those who finish their work.

Science Holiday
In 2018 we launched Science Holiday, giving Lod’s elementary students access to STEM with over 4,500 kits distributed. In 2019 we expanded by translating the kits into Arabic, allowing Arab pupils to join in with great enthusiasm.

Krenbo wings
Krembo Wings, Israel’s only inclusive youth movement, welcomed us in 2020 when we led hands-on science experiments and robot driving, leaving participants feeling empowered. In 2021, we adapted by creating personalized STEM activities for the kids to enjoy at home with their counselors.

Summer workshop
Since 2010, we’ve hosted Summer Workshops at our school - where new recruits from our team and others choose a focus in programming, electronics, mechanics, or marketing and community.

Volunteering
We believe in the value of volunteering.
Therefore, we encourage all team members to go out, volunteer, and contribute to our and their community. As a team, we have volunteered in 100% of all FLL competitions and FLL Jr. Festivals in the last four years.

Mentor seminars
We have been having our mentor seminars for the past Eyleven years.
Each year, we invite mentors from all over the country to a two-day seminar during which experienced mentors teach others to become mentors or to improve as such.
